Rob O'Neal

Rob is the founding pastor of Brookwood Community Church. A Florida native, he has fallen in love with Minnesota (snow and all).

Rob met his wife, Tammi, while they were in college, and they married after graduating. They are committed to building a thriving marriage and raising their sons, James and Jonathan, to be followers of Jesus.

He attended Princeton Theological Seminary in New Jersey and is now pursuing another degree through Fuller Seminary in California.

The O'Neals are huge fans of Settlers of Catan (a game), family movie nights and hanging out with friends. Rob loves running (if anyone ever loves running), Cities 97, Diet Coke (with lime), dark roast coffee with lots of cream, Kohl's and ice cream. His favorite book of the Bible is Philippians. Lisa Jacobson

Lisa Jacobson is the Children's Ministry Director for Brookwood Community Church. For several years she served as the Children’s Pastor at Wooddale Church in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, until moving to a part-time position in order to concentrate on raising her three children—Matthew, AJ, and Emma.

Lisa has also written curriculum for the children's ministry and has been instrumental in helping to develop Wooddale's own resources.  

Her training, including a degree in Christian education from Wheaton College, and years of being a mom have given her deep insights into children's ministry. Her passion is helping children and families grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Matt Klein

Matt Klein serves as the Worship Arts Director at Brookwood Community Church. He has played piano for nineteen years and cello for fourteen. During his sophomore year of high school, he joined his first worship team.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in piano from the University of Northern Iowa, where he was a member and soloist in the symphony and several vocal ensembles. During college he also served as a volunteer member of the worship band at Orchard Hill Church where he gained insight into the preparation of worship services. He later spent over four years as staff worship leader at two churches in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Matt moved to the Twin Cities in February of 2008. In his free time he enjoys songwriting; playing music; cheering on the Cleveland Indians, Iowa Hawkeyes, Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins; playing basketball, baseball, and video games. Deb Brantner

Deb Brantner is the Director of Operations for Brookwood. She works with a team of amazing volunteers that help transform a school into a church and help to make your worship experience as comfortable as possible.

Deb is the mother of three amazing people, and the grandmother to three delightful children. She hails from the great state of Wisconsin and proudly continues to be a “Cheesehead.” Deb loves the outdoors . . . well, until winter comes anyway. She loves to experience nature, whether it’s hiking in the woods, biking on a trail, or putting the top down on her convertible and driving.

Having obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Northwestern College in Roseville, MN, Deb is now the owner of a home-based business. To read Deb's FaithStory, click here.

 

Karl Peters

Karl Peters is the Director of the Connection Team which includes wonderful volunteers who serve in ministries that enable people to find friendship with others at Brookwood and grow in their faith in Jesus. He also volunteers in the preschool for Children’s Ministry. 

Karl graduated with a degree in graphic design from Moorhead State University and worked at graphic design, product design and public relations agencies before beginning his own graphic design and brand consulting business in 2002.

Karl met his wife Suzanne at Wooddale Church in Eden Prairie. They have a daughter, Ainsley, twin boys Caleb and Bryce, and are expecting their fourth child in June.

Karl and Suzanne enjoy being active in their small group and socializing with friends. However the last few years they have spent most of their time changing diapers, picking toys up off the floor, settling endless squabbles, and sharing Godly wisdom like “Don’t put that in your mouth.” and “Quit drinking the bath water.” To read Karl’s FaithStory, click here.
 

 

Dave Lister

Dave is the Director of Brookwood’s Go Ministry. Dave is married to Shelly, and they have two grown children and five grandchildren. They are also guardians of their nieces and have three grandchildren from them.

A veteran of the United States Air Force, Dave and his family served for 24 years at bases around the world including in Florida, Japan, the Philippines and Germany. While in the Air Force, Dave led Boy Scouts received an Associates degree in Telcommunications Technology.

After retiring from the Air Force in 1996, Dave took an engineering position with T-Mobile in Des Moines, IA . While there He was active in local compassion ministries, Adult Sunday School and children’s ministries.

In 2008 T-Mobile transferred Dave and Shelly to the Twin Cities. Dave still loves being involved in compassion ministries and teaching children. To read Dav'es FaithStory, click here.
