The Children’s Ministry Team makes sure that children from birth through grade five have opportunities to become extraordinary followers of Jesus. This well-organized team provides opportunities to help children and their families connect with God, one another and the community on a deeper basis.

 

Elementary Coordinator

Coordinate the work of the elementary ministry team, assist with recruitment of team members, develop the team, and give care to team members. Helpful qualities include: enthusiasm, flexibility, organization, encouragement, prayer, and a love for children.

Elementary Small Group Leader

Work with small groups of children to encourage them to become better followers of Jesus Christ. Study and gather materials needed for curriculum and present to children. Helpful qualities include: enthusiasm, flexibility, encouragement, and prayer.

Elementary Large Group Leader

Present biblical materials and its connection to children’s lives through drama. May involve help with costumes and props. Helpful qualities may include: acting ability, design insight, teamwork, creativity, enthusiasm, and the ability to memorize lines.

Elementary Music Leader

Encourage children to honor God by worshipping Him enthusiastically and by living godly lives. Includes practice of materials and help evaluating musical selections. Helpful qualities may include: teamwork, creativity, enthusiasm, musical ability.

Greeter

Welcome people in a friendly and genuine manner as they enter The Rapids. Help them with registration of their child, answer questions, and bring child to the appropriate class.

Media Specialist

Assist with setting up and running sound for large group learning environment.

Curriculum Preparation Team

Gather supplies, prepare activities for elementary program.

Administrator

Facilitate attendance, manage the collection and tracking of permission, release forms, and safety and security forms.

Preschool Coordinator

Preschool Teacher

Develop strong relationships with preschoolers and their children while sharing God's love with them. Lead small groups of children through a Bible story, snack, craft, and activities, all designed to reinforce the day's biblical truth. Helpful qualities include: enthusiasm, flexibility, prayer, a servant’s heart.

Preschool Helper

Assist the preschool teacher in providing a nurturing and safe environment for preschool children to learn about Jesus.

Preschool Music Leader
