The members of the Operations Team are the volunteers who support the other Brookwood ministry teams. Team members set up our facility, tear down our equipment, take the offering, serve coffee, and support the office with their administrative and IT talents.
Operations Team Director
Coordinate the work of the operations team, assist with recruitment of team members, develop the team, and give care to team members. Helpful qualities may include: organization, ability to delegate, ability to develop others, and the ability to think in systems terms.
The Crew Coordinator
Develop a plan to off-load, set up, tear down, and store church materials. Recruit and schedule volunteers to help unpack and set up materials prior to the service, and repack and store materials following the service. Helpful qualities may include: detail orientation, consistency and ability to lift.
The Crew
Move materials from storage to its final location, unload equipment, set out the signs, and set up materials prior to the worship service. Clean up and break down equipment, load and transport it to storage, and bring in the signs following the service. Helpful qualities may include: detail orientation, consistency, dependability, and ability to lift.
Coffee Coordinator
Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers to prepare and serve coffee before and after worship services. Develop a system for obtaining, brewing, and serving coffee. Helpful qualities may include: systems thinking and hospitality.
Coffee Team
Arrive early on Sunday morning to gather supplies, prepare coffee and create an attractive environment where people feel free to gather in order to make friends and have conversations. When people are starting to clear out after the service, tear down the station and move the items to the storage room. Helpful qualities may include: consistency, hospitality, creativity, friendliness.
Usher Coordinator
Recruit, train and schedule volunteers as ushers for the worship services. Develop a system for handling the money and securing the Current and other handouts. Helpful qualities may include: detail oriented, organized, people person, encouragement.
Ushers
Welcome and seat people; give out Current, I Matter cards, and other handouts; collect the money; count attendance; sort and bag the offering. Call Wooddale with the offering bag number; notify the Rapids if service is running late or ending early, assist with lost children. Helpful qualities may include: detail oriented, proactive.
IT Support
IT support volunteers assist with the purchase, installation, and maintenance of Brookwood’s information technology resources. Helpful qualities may include: IT knowledge and flexibility
Office Volunteers
Office volunteers assist with Brookwood office tasks such as answering phones, preparing mailings, photocopying, paper cutting and laminating.
