Safety and Security - Brookwood Community Church
Safety and Security

The safety and security of our children and volunteers is essential at Brookwood Community Church.

All volunteers working with children are screened via background checks and personal interviews with staff members.

Each parent of a child, birth through grade 2, will be given a security tag which will correlate with the number on their child's nametag.  Children will only be released to a parent with a security tag.

In the event that the nursery staff needs to contact a parent, a parent's cell phone will be called or your child's security tag number will appear on the video screen in the auditorium.

Sick children
To keep the children and volunteers healthy, children will not be permitted if they have experienced any of the following symptoms within the past 24 hours: Fever, chicken pox, pink eye (Conjunctivitis), discharge from eyes, ears or nose, vomiting or diarrhea, any rash (except diaper), persistent coughing or bringing up phlegm, diagnosed with/or being treated for a communicable disease.

Full classrooms
Occasionally our classrooms will fill to capacity. Capacity is determined by two factors: Adult to child ratio, and size of the space. For the safety of everyone involved, we have specific ratios and space requirements according to the developmental needs of the children.
