Here at Brookwood we are on mission to serve and love our neighbors. The most practical and effective way to do this is to develop relationships with them, so that we can teach them about Jesus. We live in a different world than thirty, twenty, or even ten years ago… very few people know their neighbors because of busy schedules that keep them in their cars more than in their homes.
In order to encourage people to get to know their neighbors, and develop long lasting relationships, we are about to start our fourth year of backyard Bible camps, what we call; Camp Love2Serve!
Children 4 years through 5th grade are invited to attend one of our 5 locations in Scott and Carver Counties. This event is open to everyone, and are hosted by Brookwood families in their backyards or neighborhood parks. All volunteers are background checked and trained, and opportunities are still available if you would like to get involved. At Camp Love2Serve, children will participate in service activities, games, worship, and hear “The Big God Story”, and learn how to respond to God’s word in a variety of ways. Each day the children will also participate in a service project benefitting Operation Christmas Child.
